Blackstone River Theatre will offer a six-week session of CONTINUING BEGINNER UKULELE classes with instructor Armand Aromin on Thursdays, Oct. 19, 26 and Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30, from 6:30-7:20 PM. This small, group class needs a minimum of five students, with a maximum of eight. Fee is $95 per student per 6-week session. Prepayment necessary! This class is designed for the beginners who have completed their first session with Armand, and/or, if you're like Armand, you want to play an instrument but can't understand why anyone thinks playing bar chords on guitar is enjoyable! He'll continue to explore rhythm, chords, strum patterns, and how to accompany both songs AND tunes. Must bring a ukulele to class!

Blackstone River Theatre will offer an 8-week session of INTERMEDIATE UKULELE classes with instructor Armand Aromin on Thursdays, Oct. 19, 26 and Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30, from 7:30-8:30 PM. This small, group class needs a minimum of five students, with a maximum of eight. Fee is $95 per student per 6-week session. Prepayment necessary! Pre-requisites: Must have taken the Total Beginner and Continuing Beginner class with Armand and/or have some basic finger-picking experience; know the Island Strum, and know the A, E7, G7, and Dm chords.

In the INTERMEDIATE class, students will not only focus on chords, techniques, and gaining familiarity around the fretboard, but will also refine what they already know in order to express a variety of complex musical ideas through the songs we will cover … or even within a single song!

Armand Aromin is a chronic multi-instrumentalist, singer, percussive dancer, and violin maker living in Providence, Rhode Island. More importantly, his first name is pronounced like the brand “Arm & Hammer.” He is one-half of The Vox Hunters, a quarter of Eight Feet Tall, and at least a third of The Ivy Leaf. He proudly owns Aromin Violins, a tiny workshop within five paces of the bedroom.
