Current Exhibit
The BRT Art Gallery is an ongoing initiative to have the work of local visual artists combine with BRT's performing arts programming to enhance the audience's total experience and expose them to the many talented artists that live and work nearby. Exhibits generally change every 5 or 6 weeks between mid-September and May. Artwork is viewable two hours before scheduled theater events and is often for sale. We are now scheduling additional gallery shows for Winter 2023 and beyond.

A Touch of Beauty – Photo Exhibit and fundraiser for BRT by Stephen C. Wood
DocWood
is an award-winning Rhode Island based photographer and professor emeritus in Communication and Film Studies from the University of Rhode Island. Stephen has traveled and photographed most of the fifty states with sojourns to Mexico, Germany, and South Africa. For over fifty-five years, he has been involved in various aspects of photography including studio, wedding, commercial, and stock photography. Currently, he is concentrating on the art of photography: portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and abstracts. In addition to the many awards his images have garnered, they have been exhibited in the Westerly Artist’s Co-op, South County Art Association, Wickford Art Association, Bill Krull Gallery, Gilbert Stuart and South County Museums, Cross’ Mills Public Library, Pawtucket Art Co-op, University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island State House and at many other shows and exhibits.
"A Touch of Beauty" reflects nature’s gifts found in our own backyard, as well as virtually any exotic part of world. Each image is unique in its own right though some, like the musical instruments, are thematically linked. Beauty can be found almost anywhere at any time – like the recent image taken from the parking lot of the Blackstone River Theatre at night after another great show.
DocWood is also a musician recording on the Neoga Record label. He is currently playing with Farm Dog Folk (FarmDogFolk.com) and their music can be heard at Bandcamp.com
