UPDATED 3/30/2020
With the increased severity and spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, Blackstone River Theatre must follow local, state and national guidelines and remain closed until further notice. There will be NO CLASSES in April, May, or June. We hope to resume our full class schedule in Fall 2020.

Singing Traditional Folk Songs
with Aubrey Atwater (for all levels, all voices)

A three-week class in Singing Traditional Folk Songs with instructor Aubrey Atwater will be held on Wednesdays, April 29, May 6, and May 13, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. This class is designed for all levels of adults and teens. Minimum of 5 students needed to hold class. Fee for the three-week class is $72. To allow for deeper exploration we have made this a 90-minute class as opposed to one hour. Prepayment necessary!

Aubrey Atwater will teach this class in Singing Traditional Folk Songs. Folk songs leave no stones unturned when it comes to portraying the human experience … Aubrey will present and explore a broad spectrum of traditional Appalachian and Celtic folk songs with themes of work, the sea, humor, love, children's songs, party songs, ballads, longing, nature, spiritual, and more. Sessions are part listening, part discussion, and part group singing. All are also welcome to share songs they know as well. Come sit "knee to knee" with Aubrey for a singing, historical, and cultural adventure!
