Ideal for families with children ages 4-10 years old. This New England native has been enchanting audiences with her pure vocals and veteran stage presence for almost 20 years. Beginning with contemporary folk roots in Boston, MA and now residing in Connecticut, Maria Sangiolo has performed in children's museums, schools, libraries, festivals and coffeehouses for both children and adults. Today's show will feature songs from Sangiolos' award-winning CD "Fairy Moon - Songs of the Ring," which combines literacy, music and creativity. It includes readings from the story Fairy Houses by Tracy Kane, a hands-on demonstration of how to build a fairy house out of things found in nature, and a concert of songs from Maria's family CD, "Fairy Moon." Fairy houses are built out of things like pinecones, bark, sticks, stones, leaves, grasses, pine needles, seashells, sand, dead dried flowers. No living things or artificial materials are included.
