2008 Booking Policies/Guidelines
Booking for the 2008 Festival has been completed as of April 15, 2008.
Booking for the 2009 Festival will begin in October, 2008. Due to the reputation of the initial Blackstone River Theatre Celtic Festival, we have already begun to receive many requests from performers who wish to be considered for a performance slot. The Blackstone River Theatre Celtic Festival predominantly books traditional Irish, Scottish and Welsh performers for our main stage. We will not be booking Celtic rock acts. We also book two other music stages designed for solo, duo and trio acts as well as a children's performance stage and a stage dedicated solely to dance. While we also present the best of regional and local performers from the Valley, the majority of our bookings will be with professional artists with strong national and/or international reputations.
We welcome the submission of CDs/DVDs and promotional materials from interested artists or their agents with the understanding that our booking process is very selective. To be booked, it is also IMPERATIVE that artists can provide professional publicity materials: CDs, posters, and 300 dpi jpegs. We do our best to respond to unsolicited materials sent to us for consideration; however, we cannot guarantee that we will contact unsuccessful applicants as there are so many requests that it becomes time prohibitive.
