Continuing Beginner Tap Dance workshops
with Kevin Doyle (for adults and teens)

A six-week class in beginner tap dance with instructor Kevin Doyle will be held on Wednesdays, February 6, 13, 20 and March 6, 13, 20 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This class is designed for total beginner adults and teens. Minimum of 6 students needed to hold class. Fee for the six-week class is $90. Any hard-soled shoe, whether taps, or hard rubber or all leather is fine for this beginner class. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Come discover the rhythm that beats within each of us with acclaimed dancer Kevin Doyle. Students will learn beginner tap terminology and dance some classic routines Kevin learned from his teacher, the legendary Theresa Landry. Prepayment necessary! 

90-minute workshops in continuing beginner tap dance with instructor Kevin Doyle will be held on Wednesdays, February 27 and March 27, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. This class is designed for adults and teens who have some knowledge of basic tap terminology and would like to learn some classic tap routines such as the Waltz Clog and others. Minimum of 5 students needed to hold each workshop. Fee for a workshop is $30. Sign up for one or both. Any hard-soled shoe, whether taps, or hard rubber or all leather is fine. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

Kevin Doyle received a National Heritage Fellowship Award, the nation's highest honor in the folk and traditional arts, from the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, DC in 2014. He earned U.S. Irish Dance Champion honors and expanded his repertoire to include American tap, inspired by Fox Point famous son George M. Cohan. At age ten, Kevin began study at Pawtucket's famous Theresa Landry School of Dancing. Kevin performed for many years with Pendragon and has been the lead dancer and choreographer for WGBH's A Christmas Celtic Sojourn shows several times and a frequent performer with Kieran Jordan, Childsplay and many more.

HOW TO REGISTER 
So we can be assured of meeting the minimum needed to hold any of our class offerings, BRT NEEDS PRE-PAYMENT AT LEAST 3 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF ANY CLASS (and hopefully sooner!) or we'll need to cancel at that time.
